BellSouth/IBM introduces the Simon Personal
Communicator, the first mobile phone to add PDA features. It was a
phone, pager, calculator, address book, fax machine and e-mail device
with a $900 price tag.

Apple's iPhone features a touch-sensitive
screen, a 2-megapixel camera, iTunes, and the ability to run Mac OS X.
